More than USD 500 million has been allocated and USD 300 million distributed in training rewards
FIFA Clearing House promotes transparency and financial integrity in the football transfer system
New client portal launched, providing a secure platform to facilitate clubs’ onboarding
Just two and a half years after its launch in November 2022, the FIFA Clearing House (FCH) has already allocated over USD 500 million to 7,000 clubs worldwide and paid out USD 300 million in training rewards. These figures represent more than triple the amounts distributed prior to the introduction of the FCH and reflect a sharp increase in activity over the past six months.
The FCH, an independent financial institution based in Paris and supervised by the French banking authority, has transformed the football transfer system by automatically identifying and centrally processing all rewards due to clubs for contributing to the training and education of players early in their careers.
“Beyond the significant economic impact, these numbers demonstrate that the system is effective and provides a considerable contribution to increasing transparency and financial integrity in the football transfer system”, says FIFA President Gianni Infantino, who earlier May 2025 also stated on this topic while addressing the 75th FIFA Congress. ”This is groundbreaking; this is fantastic. For some of the smaller training clubs, even small amounts make a big difference. They deserve it.” To further support clubs and associations, the FCH will launch a new, secure online portal in August 2025 to simplify the onboarding process and improve the visibility of payments. The platform roll out will be done gradually until the end of the calendar year. The accompanying regulatory updates, approved by the FIFA Council on 9 May 2025, will come into force on 1 August 2025. In parallel, FIFA is strengthening education around the system. Two webinars hosted in April and June 2025 and delivered in three languages welcomed over 2,400 participants from clubs and FIFA Member Associations in more than 150 countries. Upcoming sessions are scheduled for September and November 2025, helping to grow a global community of best practice and to ensure continued understanding of this essential initiative.
